John Lynch
My twin passions are for community building
and dancing
When I say 'community' I mean the kind
of community outlined by M. Scott Peck in his books 'The Different Drum' and 'A
World Waiting to be Born'.
The kind of community in which:
* We struggle to deal with inevitable
conflict gracefully
* We open ourselves to deeper levels of intimacy, inter-dependance and
authenticity
* We try to hold the many tensions and paradoxes that are part and parcel of a
real community
When I say 'dancing' - I mean
following the energy of my own dance, trying to embody how I am feeling and
releasing my body to BE danced by spirit.
I have been greatly helped by the Five
Rhythms practice of Gabrielle Roth to integrate my body, daily and
spiritual life.
I have been passionate about these things for
a long time. I believe we cannot heal the problems of the world until we can
re-integrate our daily life, our body, our spiritual life with our community
life. We live in a horribly fragmented society where these things that belong
together are split off from each other - this has to change.
